Bills Bills Bills

Waking up on Sunday morning I must admit I was a little worse for wear, following my friends 21st birthday celebrations the night before, I wasn't feeling my best remembering the copious amounts Pimms and rose which was consumed. However the post party blues quickly wore off when I remember that this evening I was going to Bills for dinner to celebrate my sisters 17th birthday. Earlier this year I dined at the Bills in Cardiff for my boyfriend Jack's birthday and enjoyed every mouthful of the delicious food, visiting the Bills in Exeter didn't disappoint either!

The interior of both restaurants fell within the rustic Italian deli theme with a modern British twist (I love places which arouse not just your taste buds but your eyes too) but also didn't feel like I was in the exact same restaurant just in the different city, each branch of Bills has its own uniqueness.

This trip I decided to try the marinated chicken skewers, which were accompanied with a fruity couscous, pitta bread and tzatziki which was a great finger food combination. The dish was full of different flavors which surprisingly all went together really well. Alongside the yummy food I enjoyed a Fentimans ginger beer, which was served with a fat wedge of ginger and mint which made it extra tasty.

After a heavy night the evening before my original plan was to watch my waist line and avoid dessert, but as soon as I set eyes on the pudding menu I couldn’t resist! As a typical chocolate lover I opted for the obligatory warm chocolate brownie with milk ice cream, which as expected was absolutely gorgeous, served with a rich chocolate sauce I was in fatty heaven. As usual the service was quick and friendly, the servers were attentive and couldn’t be more helpful. I will definitely recommend Bills time and time again and will definitely be visiting to try out the breakfast as soon as possible!
